Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 June 2026
These terms cover your use of Kindling (kindling.gg), a platform where indie developers list games before launch and players follow the ones they are excited about. By using Kindling, you agree to them.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping the email on it secure. Provide accurate information, and do not impersonate another studio or person.
Your content
You keep ownership of the games you list and the media you upload. You grant Kindling a licence to host, display, and promote that content on the platform and in related marketing (for example featured placements and share images). You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Acceptable use
- Do not submit unlawful, infringing, hateful, or sexually exploitative content.
- Do not manipulate the leaderboards: no fake or purchased followers, bots, or other attempts to inflate your rank. We rank on confirmed, unique followers and flag anomalies.
- Do not scrape, spam, or harvest data from the platform or its users.
- Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
Moderation
Submissions are reviewed before they appear. We may edit, reject, unlist, or remove any game at our discretion, and certain edits (such as changing your title, studio name, or key artwork) send a game back for review. We aim to be fair and fast.
Follower lists
The followers you collect are your audience, and you can export their emails. In return you agree to use those emails only to send updates about the game they followed, to comply with applicable data protection law, and to honour unsubscribe requests promptly. You are the controller of your own list and responsible for how you use it.
Founding studios
During the founding phase we offer early studios perks such as a permanent badge and extra visibility. These are offered in good faith and may evolve as the platform grows.
No warranty
Kindling is provided "as is" while we build it. We work hard to keep it running and useful, but we do not guarantee specific results, uptime, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kindling is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
Termination
You can stop using Kindling and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the product develops, and will update the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
